Non-profit Association Kofer was established in January 2011 to unite those interested in promoting contemporary national culture, development experience, and relations between countries in Northern Europe and Southern Europe, specifically in Balkan region.

As founders we are enthusiasts with public service experience willing to use their knowledge in new areas, and thus contribute more, and develop as personalities and as citizens.

All of us, we carry our “Kofer” filled with principles, dreams and experiences. By being ready to share those contents with others, and by adding new experiences to what we already have, we have a far better chance to learn and develop, to help and be supported. Keep it Open!

Our aim is to enrich the lives of our members, partners and ourselves.

To achieve our aim, we organize:

  • cultural and sporting events;
  • seminars and workshops;
  • participation at international fairs, conventions, exhibitions, or competitions;
  • exchanges between non-profit associations of different countries.

We offer training, consultancy and project management support to projects or organizations with similar aims and operating principles.

Our photoalbum of our activities and training events is HERE.

We finance our activities mainly from membership fees, donations as well as from different funds  and supporting activities consistent with our aims. For example, in August 2013, we opened a Kofer’s Friends’ Kip, to earn money for the accomodation service.

We are acting in public interests and the profits will be reinvested in the activities of the association.

Anyone contributing to the achievement of association’s aims can become a member upon payment of single entry fee 10 EUR and regular membership fees (the annual fee is 5 EUR) . Account Number in SEB Bank: 10220192845228.

We are registered in Estonia and governed by Estonian laws, but physically present also in Serbia, Belgrade.

Our Estonian base is 50 km outside Tallinn, in Padise. This area, once known as Rävala Province was already important in the iron age. In Kofer home-cottage, away from city-hustle on the lawn or in the sauna, the thoughts become clear again. This is the place where we have our events. Forest, river, historical buildings, horse stable and tourist farm offer different possibilities for taking care of body and soul.

Our Serbian base is in Belgrade which is the capital and largest city of Serbia. The city lies at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where the Pannonian Plain meets the Balkans. With a population of around 1.7 million it is one of the largest cities in Southeastern Europe. Its name in Serbian translates to White city.
